We’ve received reports from some customers regarding duplicate charges appearing on their bank statements after using Shopify’s Shop Pay platform. To address these concerns and provide clarity:

1. Single Payment Guarantee: Our system ensures that each payment is processed only once. When you complete your purchase through Shop Pay, only one charge will be finalized.

2. Pre-Authorization Explained: If you notice multiple entries of the same amount, it is likely a temporary pre-authorization from your bank. This is a common procedure to verify your payment and usually clears within a few days. These are not duplicate charges.
